Terms and Conditions – Car Rental Service

1. Company Information

This website is operated by Vertigo Propiedades, a car rental service based in Spain. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Eligibility

To rent a vehicle, you must:

  • Hold a valid driving license for at least 1 year
  • Present a valid ID or passport
  • Provide a valid payment method

We reserve the right to refuse service if requirements are not met.

3. Booking and Payment

  • All bookings are subject to availability.
  • A reservation is only confirmed once full or partial payment is received.
  • Prices are subject to change until booking confirmation.
  • We may require a security deposit before vehicle pickup.

4. Security Deposit

  • The amount depends on the vehicle category.
  • The deposit will be refunded after vehicle inspection, provided no damage, fines, or extra charges apply.

5. Vehicle Use

The renter agrees to:

  • Use the vehicle responsibly and lawfully
  • Not drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Not use the vehicle for racing, off-road driving, or illegal activities
  • Not sub-rent or transfer the vehicle to third parties

6. Insurance

  • Basic insurance is included unless stated otherwise.
  • Excess (deductible) may apply in case of damage or accident.
  • Additional insurance options may be offered to reduce liability.

7. Fuel Policy

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as provided at pickup unless otherwise stated. Otherwise, refueling charges may apply.

8. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Free cancellation may be available up to a specific time before pickup (e.g., 24–48 hours).
  • Late cancellations may incur a fee or no refund.
  • No-shows are non-refundable.

9. Vehicle Condition and Damage

  • The renter is responsible for inspecting the vehicle before use.
  • Any damage must be reported immediately.
  • The renter is liable for damages not covered by insurance.

10. Traffic Fines and Violations

The renter is responsible for any traffic fines, tolls, or penalties incurred during the rental period. Administrative fees may apply for processing fines.

11. Limitation of Liability

We are not responsible for:

  • Loss of personal belongings inside the vehicle
  • Delays caused by breakdowns, traffic, or external factors
  • Indirect or consequential damages

12. Breakdown Assistance

Roadside assistance may be included depending on the rental agreement. In case of breakdown, the renter must contact us immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be published on our website.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Spanish courts.
